My name is Marjorie but everyone calls me Maggie.
For my birthday my parents got me this stove. I LOVE it. I am learning how to make all sorts of things.
I admit I burnt the first few tries.
But now I can make muffins, cookies, brownies, cupcakes, pies and small cakes.
When the weather is nice I set up my bake sale stand.
Recently we went to the beach for a family outing.
There were a ton of people there and I quickly sold out of almost all of my baked goods.
Later dad taught me how to fish which was really fun.
We have chickens which is really cool. I like to go collect the eggs.
Feed them.
And play with the baby chicks.
There is this crazy mean chicken though that I try to avoid.
Dad got me my own watering can and lets me help him in the garden. I just love nature and being outside.
I also love to watch cooking shows. There is one called “5 Star Chef” where different cooks from around the world compete and each week the chef with the worst dish gets sent home.
I also like the show “A Taste of Italy” staring Chef Luis Toledo. Italian food is my favorite. I would love to visit Italy.
My older sisters Mary and Myia recently turned 18, graduated from high school and moved out.
They are both artists and got a place together.
My younger brother Mario also had a birthday.
My sister Margaret also loves gardening and she can usually be found outside when the weather is nice. She is big into recycling and not wasting water.
Her and Mitchell get into a lot of fights about the long showers he takes.
He is an athlete and plays for the high school soccer team.
He is dating Miriam Kennedy but I think she is just with him because he is popular.
I think Margaret’s best friend Cecilia Elkins would be a much better girlfriend for Mitchell but I am just his baby sister so he never listens to me.
But I am not going to be a “baby” much longer. Today I am turning 13. I am so excited because now I get to use the real stove. I wonder what I will cook up next?
